OVERPASS
A Novella.
SYNOPSIS:
A massive earthquake leaves a group of commuters stranded on a Los Angeles overpass a hundred feet above the ground and cut off in both directions by broken highway. When a mutilated corpse is discovered in the trunk of one of the vehicles, an off-duty policeman must discover who the killer is while praying the teetering stretch of overpass won't collapse and kill them all.
EARLY PRAISE:
"Reading Overpass, I was stuck with one of those moments writers dread—'Damn, I wish I'd had this idea!' The novella is incredibly tense, surprising, and frequently shocking, and it contains Fracassi's usual sense of humanity which really sets his work apart. He's one of our best, without a doubt, and this one's a ground-shaker.” - Tim Lebbon, author of Secret Lives of the Dead
-
“Breakneck and brutal, Fracassi’s Overpass is a white-knuckled, knife edged disaster underpinned with cosmic dread. A teetering heart-stopper of a tale. Prepare for aftershocks.” - Lee Murray, author of Despatches
-
“Buckle up and hold on tight! Overpass is a highballing hotrod of action, suspense, and terrifying shocks (and aftershocks). When Fracassi is at the wheel, you know you’re in for a thrilling, white-knuckled ride.” - Ian Rogers, author of Family
-
“Fracassi has created a compelling disaster story here with a great cast of characters, tension taut as piano wire, and he's even managed to fit in a serial killer and an ancient god. No mean feat! Brace yourselves for a rough ride, hold on tight and hope the aftershocks don't get you. This book will shake you to your core." - Alan Baxter, author of The Gulp
